F.A.Q.
✦ Can I pay for just a custom design and not a tattoo?
I do not make custom designs without a booked appointment.
✦ Do you do tattoo cover ups?
Usually yes. It depends on a combination of the existing tattoo to be covered up, what the requested cover up design is, and what is realistic in how the tattoo cover up will look. Include as much detailed information in the booking request and we will go from there.
✦ Do you do consultations?
Yes, consultations are free. These are helpful for if you don’t have a fully formed idea and want to talk through design together, if you are wanting something very complex or big, and/or if we’re working around existing tattoos that require measurements before designing. Because I do consultations for free, I try to book these at times when I will already be in the studio to respect my time. To inquire about a consultation, please contact me via email or instagram DM.
✦ How does your “sliding scale” rate work?
You get to choose what you can afford to pay within the provided rate range.
For example, you might pay on the lower end if you are a low-income earner, are eligible for public assistance, have medical expenses causing inability to meet basic needs, etc.
You might pay on the higher end if you own a home or land, have investments, retirement accounts, and/or inherited money, have expendable income to travel recreationally, have access to family money and resources in times of need, etc.
If you have the ability to pay on the higher end of my sliding scale, please do. I have my rate as a sliding scale to balance my own needs for survival and for those with less means.
✦ Can I use numbing cream for my tattoo?
I am ok with using numbing creams or sprays for difficult areas (ribs, stomach, inner arms, etc.). Do not come to your appointment with numbing creams applied already without consulting me first.
✦ What is your touch up policy?
Touch ups are free, within reason. Touch ups are a normal part of the tattoo process, especially with fineline work. If your tattoo did not heal properly due to improper aftercare, please be honest about this and tip accordingly.
✦ Do you do _________ tattoos?
I am open to most ideas! I’m always seeking to learn, so am generally open to drawing and tattooing most things within my ability. I do prefer to do fineline, black and grey, and abstract styles, as demonstrated by the subjects in my flash designs.
I do not do Geometric tattoos, American Traditional, or full color illustrative tattoos.
